  • Attendees: Women engineers, and professionals across all stages of their careers looking to enhance their technical knowledge and career-building skills.
  • Keynote Speaker: Valuable insights on how AI is transforming familiar spaces, from everyday technology to cutting-edge applications. We will explore the impact of AI across various industries and its role in shaping the future of our daily lives and beyond.
What:
  • Technical Topic: “AI in the Public Sector” –Ezinne Nwankwo, Computer Science researcher at UC Berkeley, will explore how artificial intelligence is influencing industries such as social work, participatory governance, and healthcare. Ezinne will give overview on techniques used in this space to help with downstream analysis and the ethics to consider when deploying these systems.
  • Career Development Topic: “Building Your Brand” – Current COO of Yema, a local stealth biotech company, and an experienced founder: Anne Marie Droste will be joining us in fireside chat to dive into how to build a variety of technical skills can lead to taking risks as you establish your career path and your brand.
  • Interactive Improv games to practice:
    1. Trusting your voice
    2. The art of listening instead of planning
    3. Power of ‘YES AND’ when collaborating
